Good morning friends!
I've seen a little of this and a little of that when talking about doing away with the messy environmentally damaging downdraft tube and going with a pcv setup. I've got this valley pan currently, which is where the tube connected to and I'm wondering what my process would be to convert over to a pcv? I've got a stock setup as far as intake goes as well as the 2bbl 2100 carb. Can anyone point me to a step by step for this conversion? Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance, Clint

See if this picture helps. Here is a link to a past thread from which this picture came from and also has a lot more information regarding PCV conversion for the Y. Valley Cover...Time for a PCV (y-blocksforever.com)

Issue has, I’m sure, been thoroughly covered in this forum. Merely a matter of mastering the ‘search’ function (someone more ‘tech’ knowledgeable than I re: same might instruct you?).

Here’s another link to a past thread showing a PCV installation for the Y. http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/FindPost142375.aspx

If you choose to run a hose from the fitting at the back of the valley cover to a PCV valve that screws in to the base of your carb a V100 valve works great. The fitting shown is from a 62-64 Ford 292 pickup. I had to notch it to fit my intake. Not necessary for a stock intake of any kind.

Thank. I went the route of grommet/PCV, but I still need to see if my carb is set up for that or if I'll need to find one of those adaptor plates. I've seen pictures of them, but never where they are actually sold. One piece at a time, I suppose. I'm still having a heck of a time tracking down a heater-hose elbow for the intake manifold. All my local parts places are like, sorry pal, you're SOL. LoL Looking for one of these if anyone can guide me in a direction.

I'm finding that Larry's has this part number in stock, but it only shows the model of car that it fits, not the engine. Anyone know if it'll fit the 292 that I have?
