After an oil pump change mine read above 60 all the time and I was concerned. Since it was already installed and a PITA to change and I was reluctant to cut the bypass spring I decided to add washers to the spring nut which is external. I bought an assortment of copper washers and even tried a new Honda oil pan plug gasket which was the right diameter. I remember trying 4-5 different combinations and about .110” lowered it to 50 and that was ok by me. I still feel safe with the threads in the spring retainer nut. If it matters I use Lucas 10-30 Hot Rod oil….
