Thanks for taking the time to post all this. Well thought out build that's definitely above my pay grade but the ignition system is what caught my eye. It's the Ford,  Electronic Distributorless Ignition System  -  EDIS using a 4 pack coil/  waste spark. I haven't seen one of these Ford systems since the early 90's and you made the whole thing work on your build.  Looks like a good way to eliminate the distributor if one is so inclined to do so and the parts are out there. I'll be doing a little research now..............

After looking at your list a number of times I have to ask:  What are you using for an oil pump?
By LordMrFord - 3 Years Ago
Stock oil pump. No problems so far. High oil capasity is must if you rev engine high.

Thanks for the information.  Your build is beyond my experience and the ignition system is amazing.  Since you eliminated the distributor and blocked off the hole,  what's driving the stock oil pump?  Or am I, as usual, overlooking something obvious?  Thanks...........

I just hacksawed distributor and glued freezing plug on the stump so oil pump drive is stock (ARP).

36-1 toothwheel tells to Megasquirt crank angle, ignition map tells when to fire plugs via ignition amplifier and coilpacks.

Ignition is easiest part of computer controlled engine management system.

Ok, now I get it. A dummy distributor base is in there. The ignition looks like Ford's EDIS but with an available aftermarket programmable processor.  This is something I would enjoy tinkering  with.  Thanks for sharing, JEFF.................
