Short answer is ‘Yes’. Looking at the parts manual, there are two basic standard transmission flywheels for the ’54-’59 Ford Y-Block engines. One is for the run of the mill models that has the pressure plate holes being on a 11 3/8” bolt circle. The other is the HD flywheel for the same year models having the pressure plate bolt holes located on a 12 3/8” bolt circle. Keep in mind that the 223/262 Ford six cylinder engines also use the same flywheels as the FYB.

A little off topic but when I first tore my Y block apart for rebuilding it had a flywheel with 12 holes drilled around the outer edge plus the standard holes for the pressure plate. At first I thought someone had tried to lighten it but after doing some research I found it was made for a boat.
