i have started to produce a oil pan ad on for rear of the pan,it is thicker than the pan rails, will fit into the rear of the pan  allowing pressure on the rails with washers to press on original bolt holes,we are confident it will eliminate rear pan leakage. as well have started on a better gasket, better than best gaskets.
just made a photo type and once cd growing will proceed. 10 will be avail in early  jan.  gasket and plate.
will sell for 100 us. with hoped for response will make more. those  interested send me your e mail and will send pictures

Is this for a front-sump or rear-sump oil pan? Has it been tested and proven? Thanks.

I will have to say, I was not aware of rear oil pan leakage being a problem on the Y block... your plan sounds interesting but I do wonder about the market. Maybe some more fellas will chime in here?

rear seal problems ,in many cases are rear of pan gaskets with little or no clap left along withe poor pan gaskets.over tightning rear panbolts distorts the pan rail as well as rear seal career block as it is aluminum, the pan with my bracket  exerts clamping via raised dimples of  pan as well as the washers  attached to bracket between pan bolt holes and bracket. the thicker and more dance pan gasket.
