		| I was wondering if any other carb would work on my 239 with manual transmission. I did not know if an intake is available for this engine and also the accelerator hook up. Thanks |

		| Edelbrock made an aluminum intake manifold for the 1954 239 heads but those are like finding hen’s teeth.  The cast iron four barrel manifold from a 1954 Mercury with the 256 engine is a bolt on for the 1954 Ford 239 engines.  if using a modern carburetor in lieu of a Holley 2140 or 4000 (Teapots), early Rochester or Carter, then a carb adapter will be required.  There are still a few of those Merc 256 intake manifolds floating around. |

		| There is an Edelbrock 548 setup on Bay right now but the seller seems to be in a fantasy land.  I see them come up a couple times a year.  Keep looking and a more reasonable one may show up.
There are also big Strombergs which are produced brand new.

		| Here’s a picture of the Edelbrock #548 intake for the 1954 engines.  This one has been repaired at the front where the thermostat flange had eroded badly.

		| I have a ford manifold 2V and a ford 2bbl carb with linkage for that manifold. The pn for the manifold is EBU 9425D.  The carb is Ford EAB. |
