The block, pan, timing cover, intake, and heads are an Ivory White color. I’m told Packard Cream comes close. Martin Senor #99L-11562 almond color supposedly comes close to the original Ivory White. The valve covers are red. The starter, generator, and pulleys are black.

Unless it’s a truck, then it’s different.

Bill Hirsch in NJ has the Packard color in engine paint. Close to the original 54 color

Not to change the subject, but why is there a ball of aluminum foil on that air cleaner?

Not to change the subject, but why is there a ball of aluminum foil on that air cleaner? Perhaps it was being used to check Air Cleaner to Hood Clearance when closed? I have used PlayDoh for same Purpose.

I thought as much, but figured everything was stock and clearance shouldn't be a problem. Neat trick though. I like the contrasting bright colors in the old Fords, it really "pops".
