Hello, my name is Dieter and i am from Austria. I have an Lincoln Capri 4 door sedan from 1953. In the last years i change a lot of parts on it. The last parts where the distributor( now from a Ford y-block from 1962-63, oil pump carburetor and the drive shaft. Now i had the problem that the drive shaft is too short. I ordered 8.06 1/4 hex and i need a longer one. Could anyone say me the correct length that i need?
Is 9.16 enough for that pump and distributor?
Regards from Austria Dieter
PS: i hope my english is not too bad

The Melling oil drive I have here (#IS-60A) for the 1956-1963 302/332 LYB engines measures out at 9.167” overall length.  Not sure if that particular unit is the same length as the other LYB engines with the hex drive oil pump but I expect it to be the same.
