I converted my Ford to a 57 intake manifold and a new #08007 4160 390cfm carburetor, really have had trouble getting it right but now the last problem is I only have half gas throttle.
Has anyone had this problem that could tell me how to fix the problem?

Help is really appreciated, God Bless!!

A picture would really help. Do you mean you only get half throttle, or does the floor pedal only move half way?

Sounds like your linkages are not correct for that carb or in the wrong position so it cant get full throttle.  Needs a bit of work to get it right as its critical with working everything in the bell crank if its an auto.

linkage is not correct since the conversion, linkage needs to be modified.Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem that could offer a solution?

When I restored my 54 Merc, I elected to go to the offenhauser 3x2 setup, just because I liked the looks of it.  Well, all these years, I have had only 1/2 Throttle.  No matter what I did, I could not get it to work.  So this past winter, I converted my linkage to a Lokar cable operated, with a new gas pedal that is set up for the cable. It was very easy to install.  I left the bell crank itself on the intake and mounted the the carb end of the cable on that.    It works Flawlessly !  Wish I would have done it years ago.............

You don’t mention what transmission you have which is a player when working with the accelerator linkage.  Here’s a picture of what I’ve done to both a ’56 Ford and my own ’55.  Both had standard transmissions.  If you're dealing with an automatic transmission and its associated kick down lever, then I don't have a picture of that.

Are You able to fully open the Throttle Plates by working the throttle Linkage by Hand( with the Engine "Off")? Sometimes the Throttle won't open fully because the Plate is hitting the Manifold. If you disconnect the Link from the Carburetor and You can fully open the Throttle Plate then the Problem is somewhere in the Linkage. Is the Link from Bellcrank to Carb too long and not opening the Throttle fully? When I changed mine to the 8007 Carb I had to reshape the Lever where the Link goes onto Carburetor so that the retaining Clip would allow Carb to open fully. It would only open partially when the Clip hit the lever. Grinding away part of the Lever (carefully) I was able to reshape it.
