Ok I can figure one is a pressure switch of some type, could be oil, I don't know enough about the
Y block yet to understand every hole.
The one above it, 90 deg  is filled with some type of hard puddy
Also pulled the Distributor yesterday and gave it a good cleaning, turns easy, gear looks brand new
bought a cap and rotor for it,  both from NAPA  cap made in china, rotor made in Mex... I should have checked
the box first...
best
Did Ford ever use a Delco Remy generator?
I have 2 that been laying around my house for far to long and they are going, going and
but first

The top hole is the water drain hole.  Usually has a drain valve in it.  Looks like they did a hokey thing to plug it.  If you take it out it may still be plugged as dirt and rust sometimes builds up there.  Stick the hole with a screw driver and water will come out.

The switch certainly looks like the oil pressure sender.  Usually just screws into the block without all that other stuff.

Its an improvised Adapter to hook up a sender for the Light and a Line for an aftermarket Gauge. Usually the Sender for the Light screws directly into the Block

thanks guys..

I've looked  on the net, but have not found a good listing for a Thermostat for the 292
I have found one on Ebay,  but no make on it.
would prefer a Motorcraft part or Shaw.
thanks again

You want a small block Mopar thermostat.  Lots of options.

For a thermostat, get a NAPA THM6 or a Mr Gasket 4367.  Both are wide mouth units. Always check operation before installing, no matter what brand you buy.
