Saw 1963 302 cu in y-block short block. Came from FoMoCo, never ran. Pistons, rods, crank, cam, no heads. What was the application of this engine?

A 302, if a Y block, is a Lincoln Y Block, a truck engine.

Thanks Charlie. I got smart and did a net search. Confirmed what you said. Saw the engine at Ford Carlisle. Didn't get the price. Probably not worth  a lot.

I have 303 ci Y-Block, almost 5 litres.
Stock 3.3" stroke with 3.82" bore.

Cylinder walls are thin as paper.

I just saw a new 40's style race car at the TROG with the biggest V8 flathead I've ever seen. It turned out to be a 337ci Lincoln. Looked almost as big as the Caddy V12's but with less sparkplugs. Ran very well too had a completely different sound.
