Can anyone verify that a 58 Ford switch, which I'm told can start in PARK & NEUTRAL, will work on a 56 with Fordomatic?

Yes if you look at the switch you will see an extra rest area on the arm the selector pin rests in . It allows the car to start in neut and park

I got this info on another forum for the proper switch.
It's from a 1960-1966 Ford truck with auto:
C1TF-7A247-A
I found one online for 35 bucks NOS
Maybe this helps someone else
