Took me a couple of weeks back and forth with the seller but I finally got the answer to the parts availability question Charley brought up.
All of the parts are available through CRT Performance on ebay as well as a couple of other sellers. A replacement module (which they call a circuit board
can be found here:

The replacment 64 truck dizzy is a good one if you can find it. Easy to upgrade to durraspark II. But I know thats all over the fourm from when I did mine but Its an option that dousn't use GM style parts

The ongoing Problem is finding a good original Distributor or even a good Core to rebuild. The Exchange Units that are (were) available from Cardone are not made correctly as far as Length of Shaft.

like you said its a copy of the MSD  their parts fit 
I  have one in my 292 and its been great  distributor and wires were 159.00 with free shipping on e bay and the machine work really looks good

its identical to MSD  , the biggest difference i saw was about 300 in price ,MSD moved their production to china ,that's when things get copied when the go to china ,dont think our laws apply in china regarding patent infringement

Put this in my '56 Crown Victoria over two years ago, could not be happier. Fires right up and hasn't missed a beat in two years. Modern day electronic ignition. NEXT: Fuel Injection ?????
