Anyone have the big o ring that goes between the two halves of a 57 torque converter that they will part with? All of the kits that I have are for the later one piece converters. Let me know how much and I will be glad to pay, this is the only thing I need to finish rebuilding this trans.

Glen:
The O ring is in the care of the US Postal service. I sent it first class, you should see it Saturday.

HELP! Glen and John... you've got me scratching my head.
I thought that the Fordomatic two piece torque converters were only used 'til Spring (?) of '56 with the air cooled transmission. I thought that the radiator cooled Fordomatic units ushered in the one piece steel, sealed, torque converters?

The first one piece converter came out in 58 with the flexplate with ring gear. I have the flexplates, but the only torque converter that I have is questionable, the drive tangs are not in the best of shape. Thus I am going to use a 57 flexplate and torque converter with this FMX conversion. If we get the picture posting back up, I will post pictures of the different components. Thanks John for the fast response, and hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
