Here's the latest on my rehab following my quadruple bypass surgery May 22. I have been doing the rehab exercise program at the hospital, but the greatest exercise happened last night, 11 1/2 weeks after my surgery. I took the race car to the track for the first time this season. I was like a kid with a new Christmas toy! Last fall, in cool weather, I was turning 12.0s. I got two time trial runs, both 12.34 in hot humid weather. First round I dialled 12.34 and ran 12.26 in a double breakout run, I broke out the least. Second round I dialled 12.26, cut a bad light, and broke out again with a 12.17. All four runs netted 109 to 110 mph. The car's alright, but the driver needs more practice. I feel great, and in 11 more days I will be cleared to do anything I want. I guess I jumped the gun on that a little.

That will be our secret. Glad your feeling better and raring to go. If the operation went correctly you should be feeling better that you have for the last few years. They say you get more pep and endurance. I guess you would be the one to know that? Look forward to seeing you at Columbus. Chuck

Way to go John! My rehab has been off and on, took a break to go to china and then I have a monitor on now so they can watch me constantly so I have skipped the rehab while I have it on, probably should get back to it. I visited them today however.

Hoping to make Columbus but its up in the air at the moment, got to go to Detroit the 27th for a day or two, we'll see.

Glen, Will you be bringing your car to Columbus this year?

Got my room reserved at the Super 8, got a new set of tires on the trailer and the car cleaned up RB! I still need to get to Montgomery Motorsports park for T&T and make a few qtr mile passes, but there is a 70 percent chance of rain all week. If I don't make it this week, I'll make my first full out 1/4 mile pass at Columbus. We are going to try to make it up by mid afternoon Thursday, see ya'll there if the creek don't rise.
