Y-guys

I am about to do the toyota steering box P.S. deal to my '60 F-100

2wd. I was going to re use the std column but, now would be the time to put

a tilt unit if possible. I'm cheap so I would perfer to use a salvage one if possible.

This is NOT a show truck. Anyone done this deal before? If so, what did you use

and how difficult?                               Thx Bill

The scrub vans are very popular. I have one of those swing away TBird columns in my 48 Ford. I did modify it so the swing away doesn't swing away.

The earlier the better if you are looking for a column that is not fat like the late models ones. Most any will work (your choice of column mounted shifter or not). Usually, the earlier columns need some kind of bearing at the bottom. No big deal, you can make them out of teflon ( or similar material) or use a regular bearing.
