As you guys know, the forum went down this weekend and just now came back online. This was a totally different issue from what has plagued us in the past, this was actually a problem with Microsoft and the hosting servers on the left coast. Stephen just pinged me to let me know they were back up and cooking again. I am hoping that we don't see this kind thing again, I know for a fact that there were a good number of our gang that have been having SERIOUS withdrawal!
Enjoy!

Thanks, Jim. I feel better already!
My wife has told me that I don't realize how often I visit the site to see entries. The last few days have proven to me that she is right.
Thanks for keep the site up and running. Appreciated!
Regards,

Wish I could take credit but the real guy behind pushing Microsoft to get it back online is Stephen Clayburn. When this site was a baby back in 2003, it was initially hosted on one of his servers at his office in N. Dallas. He has been and will continue to be an important "silent partner" in this endevour. Without him, we would not have put the first forum online, and I believe that the forums are truly the lifeblood of the site, the pictures, etc (which I need to update) are pretty and all, but not the real "meat" of what we are all about.
Thanks for all of your daily input and for allowing Ted, John F, Stephen and I to do what we do in keeping this thing afloat. It was never thought of to go this long, but we will just keep on with it as long as we are around.

LOL - Over the weekend I got the shakes, experienced a high fever, and broke out in a cold sweat. My wife almost admitted me to the Y block hospital!
Thanks Jim and thank you Steve!

Thanks to everyone who put this great site back on line. I had begun to think the worst had happened. I'm so relieved. I personally think that microsh!t is almost the most evil thing out there. I use a Mac with Firefox. Up yours B. Gates!

I have been all Apple for several years. Never worry about crashes.

I've been all Apple too for many years and crash free. I'm impressed about the stability and incorruptibility of the operating system.

I just had a strange experience. While replying to a post once I clicked to post the reply an error screen came up. Sorry I didn't copy it but it happened several times. Finally I left the reply area and went back to latest posts. My reply was in fact there multiple times. And not I didn't hit the post button impatiently. Apparently the error message was in error! Chuck
Just now when I hit post nothing seemed to happen. After a wait I refreshed the page and the reply was there.

Guys. Looks like the forum has a glitch. I'll forward Charlie's post to Jim as he may not be aware how serious the problem is. I went through the forum this morning and deleted no less than eleven duplicate posts so it's definitely widespread. If you do get the error message above when posting, use the back key and go back several pages. That kept me from having a duplicate post when I got the error message myself this morning.
If you do see that you have a duplicate post, then by all means feel free to delete it. Each forum member has the ability to delete/edit their own posts.
