I have about 6 yblock 3 speeds I need to get rid of, mainly out of 55-56 fords. 2 or 3 standard, and a couple overdrives. One O/D is from a 55, and works fine, but tends to pop out of 2nd gear when you back off (synchros?). I was told the other is from a 54, but I would call it a parts tranny. Also have one heavy duty 3 speed, believe from a Mercury (T85?). Several bell housings, used clutches (for cores), flywheels, 2v & 4v intakes, one complete 4v intake, teapot carb and air cleaner. Due to size & weight, I don't want to mess with shipping any of this, so you will need to pick up in central Iowa (50036). Let me know what you need, I need to get rid of it. Thanks!

34x: Due to limited exposure here you might want to also advertise elsewhere, such as Y-block Magazine, published by monthly at, PO Box 1005, Ottawa Illinois 61350. Ads are low cost at .10 cents/word $3.00 minimum. Also, on e bay or Craigs list?. I'm sure there are people out there that want those vintage parts, but you have to make contact. Also, because you've decided not to ship them, it makes the sitution very restrictive...

I have a 55 T86 od transmission I'd sell.I'd take $100.00 for it.It works fine.I just removed it from my car to go to an automatic.I would not ship it,so you'd have to pick it up here in central Missouri.

Not that you would, however the guy in Iowa that just burned me would not ship either and when I called him after the fact he said "I know, that is why i would not ship and made you pick them up" It was cash only, after the fact I realized that was because if you use PayPal and get taken you can dispute but not with cash. I mention this because it may have happened to others and they will be too shy to respond to your ad. Good Luck.

oldbird55...........Sorry about the delay in replying to your question,but things have been a little crazy at my place for a while.As far as shipping the transmission,it's not a question of cost,but simply that I don't have the time or materials to get it packaged properly.So as stated it's right here if you want to come and get it.

unibody madness,I have a three speed bell housing out of a 55 pickup that I'd sell.Price is $50,and you'd have to pick it up here at my house.I'm unable to ship something this big and heavy.I also have the flywheel and transmission from this truck.

FYI I am shipping a fourspeed bell to Indiana, screwed to a board, shrink wrapped, usps standard shipping for about 37 dollars, so if you need a four speed bell I am willing to trade
