Ok just to let you guys know the vauxhall went 13.6 @ 99mph.

What is a slightly stronger valve spring i can just chuck in as any time under 14.5 for the day i had a terminal speed of 99mph due to valve float!

Don't know what your cam specs are but John Mummert w00t has various rates from 95# to 115#. Scroll to bottom of page.

We have revved our turbocharged Y up to 7000 rpm with single springs without damper springs that came with the set of these. These are for Small Block Ford, but work ok with Y.

Comp Cams 942-16

Batch number 38822

seat load 115 lbs @ 1.700"

open 284 lbs @ 1.200"

spring rate 339 lbs/in

coil bind 1.125

Same springs I use and go to 7000 and beyond all the time. Wink

Tim, do you mind to reveal how far beyond you have gone? BigGrin With or without damper springs?

I leave the dampers in and have run it up to 7300 in first or second, not much point to it though, it doesn't pull real strong after 7000. .585" lift if you want to know.
