Now, with the B intake I got here in the forum, the process of "Autolitizing" my Galaxie to the 4100 is complete.
The car runs great.
Comparing the stock 2V intake with a Mr.Gasket adapter, with the "B" intake, I only noticed a faster trotle response. I was expecting that, as the Autolite is a 1.08.

Is that just paint on the intake or a coating?

Thanks guys!!
I got a lot of people scratching their heads about that carburetor Looks like people only know the existance of Holley or Edelbrock carbs these days. Autolite? What's that? A brand of soap??
If they only knew what a superior carburetor the 4100...
The intake was painted with a high temperature aluminum paint that I use to paint exhaust manifolds with, and it lasts a long, long time on exhaust conditions. I gave three good coats on the intake, and I guess it will last as long as a coating for about 1/3 the price.
