Anyone know what the wire color was for the radio in a 55 Vickey, I don't see it in the schematic. Thanx, Gary

The only mention that I can find is a black wire with a blue tracer. That black wire with a blue tracer is listed as Fordomatic Dial Light. No other radio related wire is on the schemetics that I have. Oldmics

Oldmics, coming off of the radio is a black while with a fuseable link, no blue tracer, whoever had the car before me cut the wire off on the power side of the fuse with about an inch of black wire left on it.

I'm finding the other black wire in the schematic is going to the heater switch, and it's also fused, I'm thinking Ford tied into this for the radio? The fuse is a buss SFE 9?

Gary! I could be wrong but it may have been directly from ignition switch with the inline fuse holder. In my 56 shop manual it is directly to accessory terminal on the ignition switch.

Hi Gary! The fuse for 56 is 5amp.That should be the same for 55.The radio pilot light is plugged into the harness. There is a multi connector in the harness behind the radio. The male bullet terminal plugs into it.Comes on when the headlights are turned on.I was under the dash on my buddys 55 this afternoon plugging in the pilot light wire.I think the reason you cant see the radio power wire in the schematics is because it is an inline fuseholder direct from the ignition switch.
