I am preparing to start on the '63 1/2 Falcon HT and want to clean and straighten the underside. This is not a fun part of the project. Since the car will be stripped of all mechanicals, doors, hood, trunk, glass, etc and the interior is already out of it the weight will not be much. I am guessing something on the order of 600 to 800 lbs. Mouching around the net tonight I saw this idea for getting the car turned on its side.

Doug, I have a buddy working on a 69 sc/rambler. He built a rotisserie, but I haven't been over to see it yet. If you want I could take pictures and measurements.

As it turns out ,his is good friends with Bill & Joyce Smith from Speedway Motors .He arranged for us to meet them in Bill,s office the next day .Bill  still works 8 to 10 hours every day ,and is in his early 80's .Sure was nice to meet him in person .

Doug, are you referring to the wooden tilt device? If so I have seen that done before on another type of car too. I bet it would work for a falcon.

I've seen them made using engine stands.
