Wayne: the 57-58 unit you list as "rebuilt" must have been in long service since, judging by it's surface condition, which includes rust on the upper shaft!. Photos of the innards of those dirty distributors would be helpful...

Hi Wayne, does the 57 - 58 Dizzy have both centrifugal & vacuum advance?. I cant see a Vac.assy from the photo display. How long was this Dizzy in service following rebuild & what was it running in?. Cheers, Louie

Guys, the one is new, what you see is service rust. The other one had someone remove the vacuum advance from it but was not run after rebuild.
Thanks

Wayne: My point was that if the distributor is very dirty & the upper distributor shaft is noticeably rusty, there is likely rust & dirt in the inner mechanisms.. Not good!

Paul, I took those pictures for Wayne and did the posting.
I handled all of those and they are as stated.
These distributors have been in boxes in his shop for a
Lot of years and there is some surface rust. If you are not
Interested in these yourself, then there is no point in
You stirring the pot. Wayne is the reason for this site,
It was he that stirred my interest in the late 90's and,
Is totally above board.
Thanks
