A gentleman from VA called me about some parts and after talking for awhile, he told me about his bird engine. I asked if he would send a picture too me. Check this thing out guys, it is a real beauty.

He built the mounts and drive system himself. Oh by the way his current project, putting one of the new Boss Nines in a 57 Ford.

Very pretty!

That is sweet. I wish I had the time, patience & $$$$ to build something like that.

I may be stepping out of line, but I think the engine was built by a guy by the name of Ray Vargo.  I have talked to him a few times about blown 312s.  He's a super craftsman.

Right on John, Raymond worked in the Ford transmission plant as a machinist. He retired to Bristol VA and is building some cool stuff now. He has one of the new Kasse Boss nine engines and was wanting some brackets and pulleys to try to make it look like an orginal 69 Boss 429. My son is taking me to the Bristol night race in aug and Raymond has invited us to come by for a visit and check out his stuff, looking forward to the visit.

That looks awesome. I can't tell what he's using for a blower, but all the brackets, etc. look great. AND blown in a bird. good combo. BigGrin Get some more pics next time AND thanks Glenn!

Ray was also a submarine sailor from the 60's. we have been sending e-mails for several years, I've been trying to get him to haul that T-bird to Columbus for three years. Maybe if we all beg him?Cool

As I recall Ray's engine made around 520hp on the dyno.

Didn't know it looked great too.
