I bought a new inner door handle, but the splines on the regulator shaft are pretty worn. If you have a decent used one you want to sell, please e-mail me or send a PM.

Thanks,

Rono

If they're like my truck, you may be able to repair them by using a triangular file to debur the teeth.

Thanks Charlie! If one doesn't turn up I'll give that a try.

Here are a couple pictures.  Is it the correct side for your need?

Mike;

That looks like it. My zip is 04953 so you can figure how much to get it here. Send me a PM and we can figure things out.

Thanks,

Rono

Rono, if that doesn't work I have a spare shaft I got for my pick-up, part# BAAA-8121818-RK. If it will work that you can have it.

Mark;

I didn't think they sold just the shafts. Do you cut off the old one flush with the mounting plate and weld it on?

Thanks,

Rono

Rono, you disassemble the housing for the shaft. I recall that I filed the sides of the four little tabs on the back of the triangular shaped piece so that the rectangular housing that contains the shaft can be removed. (see the pictures that mike attached). When you reinstall the new shaft you have to pean the four tabs that you filed to hold it back in place. Its very simple. I can't remember but there may be a small spacer washer or bushing that you have to be careful you don't loose. I did the windows too so my memory is clouded. I think I packed the housing with white grease when i reassembled it. Hope this helps.

PS Rono, I've only seen these shafts in the truck catalogs so they may not work for a car. Maybe someone else knows.

Thanks

Rono, I just checked the Mid Fifty F-100 Parts catalog - they have them in two lengths - the longer to clear upholstery. Mine is the short one. They also say they tack welded the housing back together (I didn't - I was just careful with the disassembly) the also say"2 springs and a tiny plunger may try to escape when disassembled, be careful, they are not available" lol.
