Does anybody have one or have seen one in person? Are the metal or fiberglass? I hear there is one for sale in Sacramento.

I havent seen a 52-54 Ford trailer, but a few days ago there was an RV pulling a bright red '62 Cadillac trailor. The trailor front was complete with bumper/grill/lights and the rear looked just like the original car too. r

I've seen a few like that, the body is fiberglass. I can't recall the manufacturer's name. The back opens up for a kitchenette. The top comes off and is a small boat. Pretty cool set up. Pretty rare to find one in good shape. I saw one on Ebay awhile ago but it needed a lot of work.
Just did a search. It's a Kom-Pak Sportmen made in Medford, Oregon.

Tom in Iowa, What you are asking about is a fiberglass pop up trailer, called a Ranger, they were built between 1954 to 1956. Only 200 were built. I have 2 of them in Ill. that we are going to restore some day. You can find more information at popupcamperhistory.com/ranger.htmi 1954rangerpopuptrailerrestoration.com There is a restored one at the national camper museum in Elkhart Ind. Hope this helps Tom

Bill, Do you have a front shot of your mates trailer. I cut the rear off a ranchero parts car and am not sure how to finish the front of the tralier. Thanks Tom

Wow I didn't know they made a pop up trailer, I was referring to the Kom-Pac trailer style. The guy in Sacramento wants $2400. and it is missing the whole back door section.

They were fiberglass weren't they? Not impossible to make a door just not easy. These rigs are beyond rare now. They have a following so there might even be a club that could help you find the parts. I would love to have one in a 56 style. Chuck
