And the Bow Tie bumpkins don't think Fords are popular! Check out item 280800105236. Bid to $30,100 U.S. & didn't meet the reserve!..

I have been watching that one. Would love to have it but unfrotunately have not won the lottery yet. Wonder what the reserve is? Could not build it for that. Only thing I would change is a 312 instead of a 292 and wide whitewall radials, possibly with '57 T-Bird full wheel covers. Had a Custom 300 2 door back in the late '60s. Unfortunately girlfriend got pregnant and I made the mistake of selling it. Did keep the '57 T-Bird though.

Beautiful car. I see his deck lid fits like mine on the L. rear. I'm running the same Thrush mufflers. A good, cheap alternative to Flowmasters with about the same sound.

Hey Slum! Wide whitewalls & T.bird wheel covers! IMHO you've missed the essence of this particular car...

No, not realy! Cars are personal. That is how I would have ordered the car in '57. No problem swithching tires and hubcaps to suit your mood. Did it all the time back in the day. Had '57 Plymoth hubcaps on the Bird at one time. Also had Magnum 500 wheels and blackwalls on it for a while. They are on my '65 Mustang Rat Rod at the moment. Also had a set of flat plastic tail light lenses on it with Playboy Bunny's painted on them. Still have them stashed away. It is all a matter of personal taste. Not necessarily a right or wrong way to do it.
