Does anybody else get the Hemmings daily updates on their computer? this morning they show Fireball Roberts supposedly car is going for sale at Mecum in Florida January 24th. in the blog that follows the car is questionable and my obsertvations are that it says 300hp on the hood but no supercharger, not even dual carbs to proclaim 270 or 285hp, only single carb and a dual vacuum distributor.

Can it be real?

Billy, I think that was the clone car that was at 57 heaven in Branson Mo. Not a very good copy.

The clone that Tom Kitchen brought to the the shoot out a few years ago was a lot better copy.

There have been several clones of that car over the years, not sure the orginal still exist.Tom Kitchens did one a few years back that was very well done, but I think it has changed hands several times.

The supercharged # 22 car was given to Ralph Moody to race in U.S.A.C. after the A.M.A. ban on Factory sponsored Racing. N.A.S.C.A.R. would not allow multiable carbs, fuel injection, or super chargers. Ralph started racing U.S.A.C. in mid year and ran in 8 of 16 races, He won 4 of them-3 at milwaukee Wis. and 1 at Birminham Alb. Ralph came in 2nd in the points to Jerry Unser who ran 15 of the 16 races, also in a Ford. Of the 16 U.S.A.C. races ran in 1957 Ford won 12 races and Mercury won the other 4. So it could be said that every 1957 U.S.A.C. race was won by a Y-Block!!!
