I have decided to remove the engine from my car to work on the pistons more easliy . The heads have been removed can any one advise the best lifting points to get the engine out of the car , and should I pull it with the tranny or only take the engine out . Thanks

I've pulled the engine both with and without transmission. With the tranny attached you have to lift at an angle and then adjust to clear the radiator mount. Engine only more or less goes straight up and out. I'm assuming this is an automatic? I highly recommend one of those adjustable engine lifts. Since you have the heads off already you should be able to use 4 of the headbolts to bolt down your lift. Chuck

I agree with Chuck. I have the "load leveler" he shows in the link he provided and it works very well. If you haven't already done so, you should also scribe a line around the hood hinges before you loosen the bolts to remove the hood.
