I didn't think it was too bad until I saw the engine. Thats worse than the 04 Mustang I saw w/a scrub in it.

There aint no cure for stupid! AND he thinks its worth restored money! $9000 first bid with higher reserve. I might give him $6000 if he takes the scrub out I've got some spare Y-Blocks for it. Please someone has to build a Y powered scrub. Maybe a competition vega, good weight ratios etc. Chuck

I wrote him a e-mail asking if it would cost me more if I bought it without the engine and trans because they are devaluing the car as it sits... haven't got an answer yet.
I can't believe that the starting bid was $200 and now it's $9000

Interior is spoiled with the "bow-tie" on the steering wheel....wouldn't take much to change that but just another reason to PASS this one at the car show...it would be just plain embarassing

I am thinking about putting a 272 in my 37 Chevy p/u,I think it might be easy with a truck bellhousing and front mount.

junkyardjeff (11/16/2011) I am thinking about putting a 272 in my 37 Chevy p/u
I have seen numerous beautiful Hot Rod Fords with SBC and one swedish Hot Rod Chevy with 289 and that I remember better than the most.

That's just plain wrong. There was a nice 57 wagon, on the 57 fordsforever site with a chev small block in it. He was posting about scary, wicked steering on it. I asked him to post pics of the steering mods to clear the rear sump pan. Turns out whoever did the swap, welded a banana shaped piece of iron on the drag link to clear the pan. I recomended he fix the steering and lose the chev. He ran a long post on disassembling a smallblock ford to put in it. Then it was on ebay with the chev still in it.

Hi People putting chevy engines in fords has been my pet peeve for years. I dont know whats worse on this car, the 350 chevy, the to small chevy steering wheel, or the horrible looney tunes theme. I always thought 60's fords were off limit, like there was a line you didn't cross. Check the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgSo4X-_x5E
