Looking for inner headlight buckets for my 57 ford. I want to upgrade to interchangeable h4 bulbs, by cutting out the back of the housing and changing the positioning of the adjusting spring, i'm hoping for easier access and changability, and a great write-up. No more having to take apart the front of the headlight and risking mounting isssues or scratching!!!

Look at the early '60s Falcon. The inner headlight housings are the same FS-57 minus the bezel mounting tabs that are easily swapped over or fabricated.
The bonus is that being mounted behind the Falcon grill they are usually very clean and rust free.

Apache: If I understand what you have in mind. ?. Keep in mind that the buckets are subject to dirt & water (& originally often road salt) being thrown at them by the front wheels. This was a major rust prone area. You may need to plan on making an inner fender pattern & then fabricating & installing splash shields to go in front of the wheels. It will keep you busy for some time, I can tell you.
