I'm trying to decide if I want to change the wheels on the 55. Here's the choices:

Iceokie, I like all but the 1st one. I don't care much for the "new style" wheels on the older cars. I have Lancers on mine (front) with skirts on the rear and being lowered can't see that much of the wheel so I just put on chrome trim rings. I vote for any of the last 3. Years ago I saw a picture of a 50's car don't remember what it was but from one side it had skirts and bar type hub caps, then on the other side just painted wheels. same car two different looks depending on which side you were on...Yours is looking good.

I like option #3 but with a beauty ring, kind of like this;

I like #4. The car looks awesome just like it is. I like the '50's ol' school custom look. Guess it's my age.

Either 3 or 4. I agree with a comment about the first picture and the second is too plain.
Really sharp car.

#4 looks best. Unless of course you decide to lose the continental kit, skirts & lake pipes (dummy spots too?). THEN, the American-style mags with blackwall tires would be the tasteful way to go.

See what happens when you ask opinions. We all have different tastes. Go with your gut. If you then don't like it, change it.
I am old school as well by the way, but you have got enough opinions
Regards

Rick you're right. I was just laughing to myself over the diversity of opinions. And what is funny is I kinda like the torque thrusts with the whitewalls. Believe me, if you knew me I'm the last you'd pick for "conforming." But I work in position where I have to please the masses and I'm always interested in others opinions.

No opinion, but what a great example of the effect of wheels on the "look". Reminds me of a guy here in Seattle in the '60's, who put white wheels with dog dish caps on in the winter, and washed them every day. Made the point that with the wheels clean, the car looked cleaner in the constant rain in the winter.

My 2 cents worth sooooooooooooo I like color matching the car with the second down ( Black with small dog dish ). Adding a beauty ring might even be better?? Here again just my 2 cents, they all have there on good looks. How about one different look a month or week at a time?????

Black and red has been done. Panther Pink or Limelight Green, etc, something different. Be daring.

Purple is good. Plum crazy, specifically.
