VALLA PARK ROD RUN

Well guys , i,m back after our states week long rod run here, there were over 350 entrants, it rained and blew all week, except for one day. i took my silver A coupe with blown 325 y block and just love driving it in the rain and listening to the exhaust note get louder. I leave it uncovered overnite and drive it in the pouring rain with no hood, i like to show the trailer queens what a real hotrod and engine really is!! Our club of long time mates going back 35 yrs had 7 cars in attendance and we won 2 of the TOP 10 car trophies!!! P.S i again was ONLY Yblock car there again!!

 Glad you had a great time ,even in the rain .(I lived at Valla when I was a kid . You could have bought the whole of Valla beach for $1000.) I just attended the All Ford Day here in Brisbane today  .About 400 cars ,only 4 Y-Blocks .

Lon, this was 35th yr with run at valla beach, its allmost built out with perm homes etc, some say 2 more yrs left at that location. Funny how i hear of many internet driven y blockers over here but very few really get a car on the road. Wink

Congrats on your club effort. Glad you enjoyed your week even in the rain. Our last club meeting/run here in the west was washed out with the threat of some really foul weather. A couple of Y's made the effort and braved the weather along with a 58 Bird.
