I saw that particular truck run at Bonneville and it surprised me when I saw the 175 mph sticker on its door but had a parachute on the back for even faster runs.  Even with the modifications that were present, it was more than impressive for it to run that fast.  Here are a couple of pictures.

Tim.  With turbos or other form of boost, you’d be competitive with that new diesel truck.  At least that’s my take.  Besides the base price of one of those new trucks is likely a bunch more than you’d think of investing in your current project.  What wasn’t seen with that diesel truck was the Ford involvement in the back ground to make it do what it did.  It was said to be stock but the compression ratio had been raised so that leaves it open to a bunch more tweaks.

It's definitely not stock. It has different injectors, different turbos, invreased compression. The front bumper was replaced or covered with something more aerodynamic. There may be a few other things. But, it's nothing that the average guy couldn't do, and probably not really that expensive to do.

Also read where it had a 9" rear end installed. bottom of first page.

We need trucks like that running around here.  But with battering rams on their front, blacked out windows so the driver cant be seen, and the usual electronics in cab to distract.
