Must be my week for Y-block marine motors.A local listing for a complete 1956 312 been sittiing for many years inside storage but apparently turns freely. Is there any difference in the block itself between car and marine.I already know the heads are nothing special. This fellow is looking for an offer and i am waiting to hear back what he thinks its worth.Complete with marine exhaust manifolds and transmission.Salvaged after boat hit the dock many years ago.How can I tell if its 312 from the end of the crank? Thanks Update-Just heard back. The seller is asking $500.00 but mostly because of the marine exhaust manifolds which I dont want anyway.Looking for a cash B.offer.Has been keeping oil in plug holes and turning over from time to time.I would love to get this for a future project.312's are even harder to come by up here in Canada.

Mark: Unfortuntely, you likely need to examine the engine closely, cause Marine blocks can be plugged up due to rust. If the engine was in salt water regularly for years, the block may not be usuable.
