Here are the before photos...C2AE industrial block, torn down back in the spring for a 312 build, quite a bit of consternation over whether or not it would need a sleeve in one of those nasty cylinders, but she cleaned up well, and we did not need a sleeve.

This is how it looked when I picked it up from Felt's Machine Shop in Suffolk, Virginia. Thank you Lyn Stanford for the excellent lead! The block was bored from STD to .030 312 size - 3.830, obviously cleaned up in an AmmPro hot wash machine, checked for cracks, deck checked, mains checked for alignment, r and r all core plugs and oil galley plugs, and install new Durabond cam bearings that have the groove on the outside diameter of each bearing (got these from Schumman's). Final price on all of that work? 315.00 even!

I've got brand new pistons, Isky camshaft per John Harding, Isky lifters, need some rods and a good 312 crank and we are almost there. My heads are rebuilt and ready to go, 471's with good valve springs, similar to mid 50's police interceptor stuff. Should make a hot motor...Tongue

let's see...what does it take from conception to birth? 9 months right?

This one's still in the womb and she definitely won't be a premie! Tongue
