Congratulations Bill ,

Now that's a Kodak moment ???? You are well and truely mixing with the "A" list . I'm sure you will cherish those photos for a long time . Gene is not getting any younger ( neither ,are we  I suppose ??? ) but he seems to be living life to the full .John is one of the top customizers and builders in the last 30 to 40 years . I bet you had a great time at the show . Hope to make it down there for next year .Well done .

Thanks MARK and LON, shame the old bodys not holding up. I was thrilled at the opportunity and both guys despite trying to attend to everyone,s requests plus selling and signing things spared the time to chat etc.Smile

Lon, was a great day, there was an equal mix of hotrods, customs, street machines, strictly trailer queen showcars and turbo rice burners that you couldnt work out what they were or what engines were in them but had cubic dollars and supurb workmanship thrown at them. Actually i forgot, charlie hutton from Boyds american hot rod show was there as well. NO y blocks at all.Wink

Good to see you using the patch! Tongue  Gene's a nice guy, real down to earth, but seems he always has his pix with the girls.  How'd you get in? LOL

Tim, yes he,s a ladys man allright! cant believe the energy he has, nevermind the talent he has. A real charmer! I caught him early before crowds came and i asked nicely! lol. Suprisingly toward end of the day my 15 yr old daughter brought one of his T shirts and got him to sign it. i was pleased!Smile

I saw Gene at the Detroit Autorama last winter. He was doing a photo shoot on a truck he'd done back in the 60's that someone had redone. Although it was late and he still had to be somewhere else later he seemed to be having the time of his life.

We see him out at El Mirage from time to time, he'd rather have a picture with my wife than me. Tongue
