I ran the time run with him. I'll see if I can post the time slip.
By pintoplumber - 13 Years Ago
Well let's see if this works. First time I tried scanning something.

By pintoplumber - 13 Years Ago
Well it sort of worked, I'd like to make it bigger.

Wally told me right after, he left, the motor bogged a little, (it was hooked up hard) he thought it was going to be a bad run. He banged the gears like Ronnie Sox, and was stunned when he got the time slip. I told him earlyer in the day "today will be the day". I was in the stageing lane, missed the whole thing. drat!

Dennis.  I took your picture and cropped on it a bit and got this.  Only slightly better.

That car 60ft times are amazing! 3600-3700lb car on small tires in the 1.30 range. Is it 4 linked or does he run caltracs?
By pintoplumber - 13 Years Ago
Greg, looks like his reaction time shows the bog.

111. mph is realy pushing some air in that 56. Does any know if anything was change besides the heads (gears, carburator, etc.)

These time slips are great. There you can see what happens and where. Wally's time is very impressive to such a heavy car. Way to go !

Here is data from Jyrkis third run at Finnish Ford Nationals with our dragster.

ET: 11.926

Speed 184,05 km/h which equals 114,36 mph

RT: 1.150 s

60 ft 1,863 s

330 ft 5,056 s

660 ft 7,686 s

990 ft 9,972 s

So, Jyrki's start was bad, it was pulling hard at the middle of the way and at the end the rev limiter  (5300 rpm) killed the show Smile.

Gary, he had the transmission gone over so he can shift quicker.
