I need a set of 15 x 8" slots, 3" BS, 5x41/2 bolt pattern.

I would also consider a set of 8" steel wheels in good condition with 3" BS.  I have a full set of 14" slots with pretty decent tires (big and littles) that I would trade for the right rear wheels. Perfer 3" BS, but might condider 3 1/2". I have got to get those funkie bullet holes off the Falcon.

Glen:

There are always all sorts of wheels, new and used, on Racingjunk.com

Thanks John and Chuck, I check all those sites on a regular basis. The problem is finding the 3'' backspacing. Some guy in CA has what I'm looking for, but I'm not going to pay $1000 for a set of used wheels. Just thought someone might have some stuck back that does not think they are made of gold.

True for a lot of items today. And watch out for the shipping fees! I had 5 aluminum wheels for my 85 Mercedes shipped from NJ and the cost, at the post office, was under $50. I've seen sites trying to get more than that for one wheel. Hooks and Crooks. Wink Chuck

Glenn, I have a pair of american slots, 10in wide with a 3in backspacing. They came on the blue `74 pinto that we also race. I was looking for fronts like yours for the longest time. I ran 29.5 by 10.5 tires on them, there just sitting in the corner now. I could bring them to Columbus and we could talk. (got any thing I could trade for?)

Greg:

What is the front spacing on those wheels, 6"?  Are they made such that they can be mounted backward?  I need 6" backspace for my car.  If those are 3" back space plus 1" thick hub, they would be 6" on the front, wouldn't they?  My present 10" steelies are incredibilly heavy.

Too bad I had to get my money back on the ones I picked up at columus last year, you could hold a rear tire out straight in your arm they were so light, almost fit but I didn't feel like rolling my wheel wells. they were only $300 or $320 if I remember right, they did need new rubber though in the rear. Thinking back I should have kept them and made them work, I'll probably never find that kind of deal again.

Greg that sounds like something that I could use! I have a set of new in the box centerline style skinnys that I don't need or several sets of non posted G's, I also have a extra nice set of 113's. Let me know what you need or put a price on them. I can get pic's if you see something that interest you.

Glenn, I pulled those wheels out of the corner, double checked, they are 3 1/2" back space. John, they look pretty crude from the back side. Spokes and ribs, nothing like the front.

Thanks Greg.  Even though my car looks pretty crude, I guess I'll stay with my home made steel wheels for now.

Bummer Greg, but I'm still interested. I broke the cardinal rule of car building, always start with the tires and wheels that you will be running. The only thing that I can do now is live with it, this winter I may cut it up and relocate the rear springs inboard. But for now I'll just live with it. If you want to get rid of them, let me know.

Glen how about some 15X10? Chuck

Hey Chuck those look like they would work! I'll through a bid at them and see what happens, but some of these guys are real proud of them. I found a set of centerlines (check the last pic I posted) that fit well and I am fairly pleased with the look. They almost look like chrome reversed from a distance.

Glenn, out of the blue, I bumped into a guy who said he had a pair of the front 4x15 slots I`ve been looking for. He brought them to the track the next weekend, and I bought them. Now that I have a set, I just need that `56 straight axle gasser to make my life complete.

Sounds like a plan Greg, I am pretty satisfied with the centerlines that I have on the car now. Do you have a 56 already or just in the planning stages?
