 I have what I am told is a 312 with an automatic transmission.Runs if you pour fuel in the carb. And a 292 with an automatic transmission as well . The 292 came in the 56 Victoria I recently purchase and I was told it was rebuilt and never cranked,but was periodically rotated. The 292 also has a really nice set of T-bird finned aluminum valve covers adorning it.

I'd suggest that because you were told that the 292 was rebuilt by the p.o., but it can't be confirmed, is likely why you aren't getting any offers at $750...
