Hey Guys

This started out in Classified with me looking for Granada spindles etc.  But after some input and guidance (special thanks to Oldcarmark) I started looking at some more complete kits.

The auction number given above is being sold by Tom's Classics and the big question now is, has anyone ever used this or a similar kit from Tom and what were your thoughts and opinions.

He claims it's a bolt on kit and I asked if the spindles had been reamed to the coorect size and he responded, yes correct ball joint holes.

So step right up and tell me what you think.

Looks like a complete kit. You could buy the components cheaper if you searched everything out but if they are quality parts it could be a decent deal. If you found a complete set of Granada spindles with hubs, caliper and dust shields you could source the hubs and pads, brake lines, etc. at your FLAPS. Were you planning on a power brake system? I have talked to some people who stay with a manual system and are pleased with the stopping power. I think the main thing would be having the booster and master cylinder matched up so that you get a good pedal. Also check if the booster connection to your pedal mechanism is compatible. I am just now in the process of my conversion and these are the considerations I've been dealing with. I still don't know how it will work out so take my input with a grain of salt. If that kit is fully matched to work with a '55 Ford it's probably a good way to go. Good luck.
