I bought some all brass wire bullets to repair a couple of male end wires. Is there a special brand of criimper that is good? I have been reading that you would crimp the narrow part of the bullet then soulder through the top? Appreciate the advice. Thanks

I like the kind that leaves a dimple in one side of the crimp. I find them pretty much "bullet proof" LOL. I have an old crimper that does this and I use it whenever I'm doing electrical work. I have had almost zero problems with wires coming out of the end. I never have used solder either, unnecessary in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know the brand of crimper you used? Thanks.

I use one from MSD which has replaceable dies for various types of connectors. It's great.
