It figures, Lon would try everything to beat me, but even that didn't workTongue It takes more than a few missing parts to beat a Canadian! Heck, I've been missing parts for years noww00t Thanks to all who made this years Expo as great as usual dispite the crappy weather. Too bad I had to leave before the shoot out. My hat's off to all, especially Bob Martin, Jim, Lynne & Lon and all the rest who made the drive well worth it, despite the weather. Take care all!

P.S. for those of you who don't know CANADA 3 / AUSTRALIA 0  BigGrin

Hey Rob ,

I think it's time to set everyone straight . The truth of the matter is that ,yes ,Rob beat me.But that was only the time trials ?? The REAL racing  started after you packed up & went home ? I gave Harry  Hutten a big fright . Lucky for him I broke out .I ran a 16.86 ? on a 17.10 dial in . What was your  best time ??? The real racers (those that didn't go home ) that stayed sure had a good time .I think I was declared ( by The Real Racers )the " INTERNATIONAL " winner as I was the only international  competitor that was left .By my math , the score is Canada 2,Australia 1 ???? As they say ,"That's my story & I'm sticking to it "

Regards Lon

Lon, Lon, will you ever learn! First I have to say that ALL the international matches have been run in time trials. You and I have never met in the actual shoot-out. The "International Match Race" is exactly what it is a "MATCH" race between you and I. Yes you did go farther this year in the shoot out (only because I couldn't participate), but I have won the "Match Race" 3 times (actually 4 if you coun't your first red lightTongue) in three years. Also, I fully acknowledge that you were driving the faster car. Bob has told me that the car has actually gone 15's.  Why only high 16's, maybe the driver needs to work on his shifting and how he leaves the lineWink. Bracket racing is based on reaction times and a reliable drive train, no matter how fast the car goes! That all being said, I guess it puts more otis on the driver. Hmmmmmm, I wounder who is the better driver? Say what you may my friend, but as the witnesses will agree,  CANADA 3, AUSTRALIA 0 Tongue

P.S. Lord knows if I ran this race down under, you would probably kick my self rightious butt Wink
