Great fun with some pictures in middle of the engine talk. Thanks, both 55 and 56 is one pice off art. The wrap around chrome trim on the roof is just killer. Henry 2 realy knows how to do it Add some pictures off your cars!! Robin Norway

In 1959 I was just out of high school. Guy in our town had a used car lot I passed very day One day he got in a 56 Vicky in black. I lusted after that machine with a passion. I scraped together every cent I had for a down payment, but was a few dollars short. He said he would try to hold it for me until I could get the rest, but when I came back with the balance he told me a guy came in with cash, and he had to let it go. Well I knew he was running a business, and he had to sell those things, but I still never forgave him.

Thats a nice 56 yellowWing, what engine are you running ? I have always like black and white combination on the 55-56 ford. I think all the models in 55-56 US fords are great. I like to have a vick as well with the crown vick. Jonny, cool to here some history from the US, any more in store ? When i was a kid there was not much ¨Used car lots¨ around here. And if it was, there was these japanese ore euorpen cars. They are just so boring. My crown vic is my old dads car, when i was little i used to play in that car. After 10 years and the car still standing still in the garage he was tired off the car. The car was about to standing still for another 10 years before i got my hands on it. The 55 crown victoria have always been my dream car, and am gonna hold on it to i am stone cold dead : )

Similar thing happened to me when i was an apprentice machinist with no car and caught the train then walked miles to work. There was a car lot opp the station and there was a blue 36 ford coupe with twin carbs and finned heads. Yes lusting for it was the right term and borrowed the mony from old guy at work and when i got there it was gone!! A terrible feeling and returned the money. But next car was 56 customline that started me off on y blocks! A blessing in disguise.

Interesting, I was an apprentice machinist at the time too. In a few months I ran across a 55 merc montclair. Neat car I thought, but I never quite got over the 56 vicky.

Engine is a 312 that I rebuilt last year thank's to help from the board and John Mummert. It's original and still has an original never ground crank. The addition of a new cam, G heads, intake, ignition and carb really woke it up.
