Hi Gents, I just aquired over a trailer truck load of interiors for 1950's and 60's ford cars. The guy had 1200 classic ford cars and sold them all to a guy in Canada due to the EPA regulations here, although they said he had the cleanest yard they had ever been in, they basically wanted him to collect all the rain water that fell on the property which would have been impossible, but he stripped all the interiors before shipping them. It will take me some time to get them to my place and get them inventoried, I have to buy another box trailer for storage. Let me know with needs and I will put it on a list and as I transport them to my place I will separate for you. Regards, Bill

I'm assuming these are original interiors? Are they in good shape, upholstery wise? Thanks.

That's a strange situation. Why would anyone sell all those vehicles to someone in Canada, without the interiors! Stripping them out in any usuable condition would be a very big job! There's got to be more to this story. ???

There is nothing fishy about this, I visited his yard several times between 10 and 15 years ago, I even applied there once to help dismantle cars in my spare time. He traveled the country buying only 50's and 60's fords. a few years ago when i went up there to check on some parts he was not open anymore. He stopped by my shop and and offered me a deal, he has 3 and a half containers plump full. YBlock32duece, I tried to reply to you but it says your mailbox is full. I do have some buckets but not sure if the right color. I also have some from a Tbird which are the same buckets, just different apholstery.

I think you guys are right. There has to be more than this to the story. In NC where I live if you have a car that is over 25 years old you dont have to meet any EPA pollution control rules. So, stripping them and sending them to Canada is a bit odd. I dont get on here much and thus I dont say a lot but this is just plain weird. Tell your friend to bring those cars to NC I can show him where to park them.

Just seems a strange situation, I fear the sale to Canada, might be to a scrapper!.. People with old cars sometimes do stupid things. A woman near me had 3 or 4 old cars for years. One was a stock 53 Ford 2 door that sat under a tree for several years, covered in slime & starting to rot. Several people tried to buy it from her. She insisted it was worth more than the offers. Later the property was designated for re development & one day the cars were gone, apparently for scrap...

They are in good shape or the guy would not have kept them, he was a stickler for the best parts. The EPA wanted him to basically catch all the rain water on his property, even though he had the cleanest yard they have ever seen. I don't know the deal about Canada, but when I asked him who he sold all the cars to, he informed me to a guy up in canada and they were all shipped there. anything that was no good he crushed which he told me was 1500 tons, you can not tell there was a car on his property now. He turned the garage into a Theater and has concerts and performances there now, its beautiful, you would never beleive it was a former salvage yard.

Billy: Shipped to Canada is very vague. Do you know whereabouts in Canada the cars went?. What province would at least be a start?.

Don't have a clue but I will ask him the name of the place they were shipped to next time I talk to him.

Update on interiors. Got the box trailer and interiors here. Most are 60's ford cars and most everything is for 2 doors. Lots of back seat sets in fair to good condition, a high volume of 65 to 70 fairlane and Torino stuff, some galaxie, a few bench sets for 2 doors and some buckets. also with the deal were a few sheet metal parts, 3 55-56 wagon upper tail gates with glass in excellent condition. one 59 gate. a 66 galaxie fender. and other misc pieces. I will try to get everything inventoried and try to get pics and a website together. When I can find a moment.

If you have something that would work for a 55 merc 4 door, blue and white with bench seats in the front and back. I pretty much need everything so let me know what you come across. Thanks. Kevin

My wife has a '68 Cougar XR7--needs A-type (no holes, cuts or pulling from backing) Dark Blue Arm rests front & rear--not inter-changeable w/any other cars (not:Mustang Cobra, or Torino).
Also Son in Korea got his grandfather's '64 Caliente Convertible (yesterday, from estate), will know in a week or two what is missing. The soldier is expecting to return to the states in the next 18 months, his Mom and me will store the vehicle and parts 'til he returns.

Would you have something for a 1970 Torino Cobra, black interior, bench seats? Driver's seat is needed most. Also door panels, and kick panels.

Just to update everyone on the interior status, I do not have any door upholstery, kick panels etc. The only thing I have is complete seats, all have original upholstery, some would need recovering but most are in good usable shape, I don't think any are show quality. 90% are 60's seats up to 1970, a few 50's.
