morning y/blockers, after much deliberation and soul searching, i have come to the conclusion that i most likely will never race this car due to my limited time on weekends, my documented 57 ford is for sale. this is the one featured in yblock magazine with all the history of time slips, photos , newspaper articles etc . i have for the sake of history kept this car exactly like it was when last raced in 62 with exception of a good cleaning,new brake lines and cylinders and the likes. drove it last nov. then drained all fuel and put up on blocks for the winter. can be seen at hotrodhotline.com under garage scenes also. if anyone is interested pm me or call lin @ 757 342-0622. thanks and GOD bless America

sorry for you you need to sell but it's good you realize someone else would be able to take it on.

Alan, it is under garage scenes on the hotrodonline.com website. i believe it is in the sept.issue of yblock magazine. just thought i would give the yblock community first shot at it before i advertised it any where else.

Alan, Did you pick up Lin's '57 yet? I'm hoping to make a trip to his place and get his .080 over 292 short block with Jahns pistons I have spoke to him on the phone a few times, seems like a really nice guy that I could learn a few old tricks about Y-Blocks!!

Just to clarify and update this post, I did not buy this car but thought about it seriously after talking to Lin. I then called Ralph Alix and his brother here in Tulsa. They bought it and as of yesterday 4/28 they were on there way back to Tulsa with it. I just put all the parties together and I get the benefit of seeing and maybe even working on and playing with the thing once it's arrives at it's new home. Should be cool! Spending other peoples money is much easier
