There might be a oil pressure issue with the 351 thats in my 55 sunliner and I did pick a 272 and a 292 but will need to be rebuilt so I might be looking for a 292 or 312 that is good enough to drop in so it wont have to sit out the summer, along with the motor I will also be needing a good FOM too so I can drop it in and hook it up and down to the exhaust shop.  The 351 was rebuilt by someone that I heard nothing but horror stories about after getting it done and this issue came up after the trip to Florida so from what I have heard I am suprised the motor lasted this long so I might be needing a good Y block and FOM.

Jeff I know you ask for a 292 or 312,but a friend has a running 272 that will get you back on the road until you get your engine done.Call me if you want to  Carl

Did a pressure check on the motor and its good but I have more tests to do,I would like to find a freshly rebuilt or very low mile motor to put in the 55 and get it done quickly and consider it done but will consider that motor so I can get it setup for a Y block again while building a good motor.

I am wanting to find a motor/trans within about 300 hundred miles from home if possible, for now I am going to put thicker oil in the 351 and see if it helps the rattle when first firing up.
