Sweet, Are we going to see it tearing up the dragstrip at Columbus?
|
By YellowWing - 14 Years Ago

Maybe not the drag strip but the other day I was able to pass another car. First time I was able to do that since I've owned the 56. I didn't really need to pass him, just did it because I could Mike

Hey YellowWing, Congrats on that neat Crown Vic. Anybody who does'nt get a little high looking at a lovely Crown Vicky (55 or 56) is just on a different wave length from me.

Thanks, I think the mid 50s Fords were far and away the best looking. It confounds me why anybody would prefer the Chevys. On the upside it makes my 56 a rare sight at shows so it gets lots of attention.

what kind of carb are you running?
|
By YellowWing - 14 Years Ago

Tom, it is a Road Demon Jr. I had some initial problems with it due to the duration of my cam 224 degrees. I have it working pretty well now and am very happy with the look of it under hood. Mike

Mike; You also have a good looking engine compartment! Can you give me some information on the electric fan you're running? I've been measuring for one and it looks like I'll need a low profile fan, but all the ones I've seen are too small of a diameter. Also, is that a green Whizzer in the background?? Rono

Rono, fan actually came with the new radiator and was mounted in a shroud. It was supposed to fit but did not come close to fitting. I made a new set of brackets and it works perfect. I did cut off the end of the water pump shaft where it extends through the pump pulley. Here is a link to the fan. http://www.spalusa.com/store/main.aspx?p=itemdetail&item=30100400 Yes that is a 53 Whizzer I built about ten years ago. I have a few more bikes than cars. Mike
