I didn't think it would be this difficult, but in trying to find some chrome accessories to add a little "bling" to my cleaned and repainted 292 Y-Block I'm finding nothing. I have chrome valve covers and the finned helmet air cleaners for my three deuces, but I'm not finding anything else. I'm sure I've seen chrome fuel pumps and water pump pulley's while searching for other parts, but now I'm coming up empty. Any suggestions?

The fuel pump should be easy. Look for an FE chrome fuel pump. For the pulley, I believe small blocks use the same bolt pattern. You might need to make a spacer but chrome pulleys for a small block should be plentiful - actually, if you're using a truck water pump, this won't be as easy because of the larger pilot diameter.

Repo T-Bird valve covers are available. Expensive but in my opinion the best looking valve covers anybody ever made. Ran a set on my '58 Ford 292 sedan back in the day. Impressive looking. Have had the T-Bird to go with them since '65.

National Parts Depot has them for $400. Any TBird parts dealer will have them.

I have a set of chromed original valve covers and a chrome valley pan cover with the hole for a PCV setup for sale if anybody is interested. The valve covers are not considered show chrome but they do look nice. $50 pair.  $80 for the valley pan.  Dave

Grits,

Ask around for a chrome plater in your area (they are not all the same) take you old parts to them. Wait, then pick up shiny bling. The smile on your dial will be offset by the hole in your wallet.

Seriously I have a chomer that I have been using for about 20 years they produce produce an excellent product. They were recommended several times by classic, rod and vintage groups that I have dealt with. Maintain the quality and fit of your original part and get the best quality chrome.

Cheers

Warren

Keep in mind that $40.00 chrome covers are likely worth less than you pay for them...

Not necessarily true,Paul.I have a set on my car that I bought from J.C.Whitney for $39.95 about 8 years ago. They've been on there for 25,000 miles and still look perfect.I'm surprised they still look good and don't leak, but it's a pleasant surprise.
