You guys have been very helpful to my project and because it now runs (and runs well), I thought I'd post a couple of pics of the carbs and engine. I know it's not a Y Block, but it has Y Block carbs and the engine runs great. I really like those Teapots.

Thanks again for the carb help with the jetting, etc. I really appreciate it

Regards

hi, are you using 2bbl to 4bbl adaptors or is that a 2x4 intake? if so, who made it, thanks, wayne.

Hi Wayne, sorry for the delayed response. There are no adapters on the manifold. The carbs mount directly. The manifold was made to my specs by a fellow on the West Coast. It is a single plane design, with the carbs set directly over the ports. So far it seems to run great. I won't have it on the road 'till next year. That'll be the real test.

very kool, it must have open plenums. did it cost a lot to have it made?

Again, sorry for the delayed response. Been out of town for my Mom's 98th B-day. I paid $450.00 to have the manifold made. To me, worth every penny

Kahuna.  Do your air cleaners still have the ‘horse hair’ filaments or have they been upgraded internally with some kind of paper elements or material of newer design?
By Kahuna - 14 Years Ago
Hi Ted

The air cleaners had no elements when I got them; however' I got an email from some fellow that told me that K & N filters can be fitted. I have not looked into that yet, as I may not use those items. I'm thinking of using some 1936 Ford air cleaners just to keep the early look.

The fun never ends

Hi Tom

I just saw a pair at a swap meet in Sacramento, CA. Guy wanted $150.00, same as I paid for mine.
